Custom Vows by Casey, 2021 Wrap up and Thank you!!!

Updated: Jan 4, 2022

Well folks, we did it! We made it through 2021!

My theme for the year? Gratitude. I know it sounds cheesy, but 2021 was the year of change for me. After quitting my corporate job and moving to Charleston in 2020, it was time to start executing my plan. The loose plan was to start officiating weddings in Charleston.

Where did I start? With coffee and wine, of course. The best strategies always start with coffee and wine. And cheese, but I digress. Anyway, networking with Charleston wedding vendors over a beverage was invaluable. Not only did I get some great advice about starting my officiating business, but I also got some great Charleston food and bev recommendations. Win, win.

What did I learn?

  1. Charleston has an endless number of beautiful spots for a ceremony or elopement. Stay tuned for some of my personal favorites.

  2. The community of wedding vendors in Charleston is amazing. Wedding planners, photographers, DJs, florists, officiants, etc. Everyone comes together to give couples a beautiful day!

  3. Charleston was in need of more wedding officiants! (Kind of important for me, haha) After talking to vendors and couples, I tweaked my ceremony packages to accommodate the needs of Charleston couples. P.S. I am glad to say that Charleston gained many great wedding officiants this year, some of whom I am lucky enough to call my friends. I love referring these friends to couples if I can't accommodate their ceremony myself.

There's not much more to say except, THANK YOU!!

Thank you to all the amazing vendors that have given me advice and words of encouragement throughout the year. Navigating the wedding industry in Charleston was a little daunting at first. Your help was tremendously appreciated.

Thank you to all the couples that trusted me to be such an important part of your wedding day! You are the reason this accountant turned wedding officiant can live her dream here in beautiful Charleston!!

So, what's next?? 2022 is gearing up to be a busy, busy year for weddings in Charleston. I can't wait to work with great Charleston wedding vendors and marry some amazing couples.

THANK YOU!! HERE'S TO 2022!!
